Instructions for Authors
Welcome to the Computer Fraud and Security Journal (CFS). We appreciate your interest in submitting your work to our journal. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, please carefully follow the instructions outlined below.
1. Scope and Types of Submissions
CFS publishes a variety of contributions including:
- Original Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting new research findings.
- Review Articles: Summaries of current knowledge and trends with critical analyses.
- Case Studies: Detailed reports on specific incidents or implementations.
- Technical Notes: Brief reports on new technologies, methodologies, or techniques.

2. Manuscript Preparation
General Guidelines:
- Manuscripts should be in English and formatted as a Microsoft Word or LaTeX document.
- Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman) size 12, double-spaced with 1-inch margins.
- Number all pages consecutively.
- Include line numbers to facilitate the review process.
Structure:
- Title Page: Include the title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.
- Abstract: A concise summary (150-250 words) of the key findings and significance of the work.
- Keywords: List 3-5 keywords relevant to your manuscript.
- Introduction: Provide background, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Methodology: Describe the methods and procedures used in the research.
- Results: Present the findings in a clear and organized manner.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss implications, and compare with existing research.
- Conclusion: Summarize key findings and suggest future research directions.
- References: Follow the APA style for citation and reference formatting.
- Figures and Tables: Include in-text references to figures and tables. Ensure all are numbered and have captions.
Supplementary Materials:
- Provide any supplementary materials such as datasets, code, or additional figures in separate files if applicable.
3. Submission Process
Online Submission:
- Submit your manuscript through our online submission system. You will need to create an account if you do not already have one.
Cover Letter:
- Include a cover letter with your submission. The letter should briefly explain the significance of your work and why it is suitable for CFS. It should also disclose any conflicts of interest.
Ethical Considerations:
- Ensure that your work adheres to ethical standards in research, including obtaining necessary permissions and approvals.
- Include a statement on any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
4. Review Process
Peer Review:
- All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the field.
Revisions:
- Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. Please respond to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter.
Publication Ethics:
- Ensure that the manuscript is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and does not involve plagiarism.
5. Post-Acceptance
Proofreading:
- Authors will receive proofs of their accepted manuscripts for final review. Promptly review and return proofs to ensure timely publication.
Publication Fees:
- There are no publication fees for submitting or publishing in CFS.
Copyright:
- Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer agreement.
